Anti wrinkle injections

Anti-wrinkle injections are used to treat wrinkles that are caused by muscle movement. Over time, levels of collagen and elastin within the skin start to diminish, leading to sagging and wrinkling. Examples of these include frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet.

Anti wrinkle injections are a popular cosmetic treatment used by both men and women. They work by temporarily blocking the connection between nerves and muscles which enables muscles to stay relaxed. This prevents visible signs of ageing and wrinkles keeping a youthful looking appearance.

The results of your treatment will be subtle yet effective. Dr Ani offers the highest level of treatment and care with a rejuvenated look that looks effortless and natural, with each treatment tailored specifically to you. You should be able to see a difference ranging from 2-3 days to 2 weeks of treatment, with results lasting up to 4 months. Most patients will then choose to reschedule treatment to maintain their results.

What are the side effects?

In most instances, anti-wrinkle solutions are a relatively pain-free treatment. If any discomfort is experienced it is usually minimal and short–lived. Some side effects from treatment area can succumb to slight redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness, which is expected to last for a few days post-treatment but is a natural part of the healing process and not a cause for concern. A full list of side effects, cautions and contraindications will be discussed during the full assessment prior to treatment

Fillers

Dermal Filler is a substance that is injected in to the dermis of the skin in order to plump or fill in the area. Fillers are used to treat wrinkles, increase and restore volume that is lost with the natural ageing process. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that already exists in the skin; one of it's main functions is to hydrate and plump the skin and this is commonly used in dermal fillers. Dermal fillers can be applied to various areas of the face, common areas include the lips, cheeks and marionette lines.

What results can I expect?

Dermal fillers provide almost instant results. The skin can appear firmer, smoother and the appearance of lines and wrinkles will have reduced with a more youthful glow. Results can last from 6-24 months depending on individuals and the different type of filler used.

What are the side effects?

Most side effects are mild and temporary: common side effects can include redness, pain, swelling, bruising. A full list of side effects, cautions and contraindications will be discussed during the full assessment prior to treatment.
